I stay in the studio and work. I look at my work the way a gardener looks at his garden. The limited colour palette, with its infinite possibilities, makes me feel at ease. I observe. I start from observation. So much beauty, benefit and meaning all around! I have my work and I wait answer from it. I understand a little. I sow, I plant, but I also weed. And if I use the india rubber – on which I do rely – I try to simplify. I start anew. In silence. Silence is a word and for me it is a useful word. In my work, it can be an answer and an aim before the greatness and broadness of amplifying questions that make me feel in straits or dumb. In this transient, but patient life, I look for peace in as little as possible.
